About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Product Designer for a Full Time, remote position. In this role, you will influence the experience of millions of users by guiding the development of TinyMCE from initial problem identification to final design solutions. You will focus on highly functional, architectural design work that requires a deep understanding of user experience, usability, and the technical constraints of modern web development.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional design initiatives by partnering with product management to define requirements and solve complex user problems.
- Validate your design directions through rigorous prototyping, team critiques, and stakeholder feedback loops.
- Collaborate closely with engineers to navigate technical tradeoffs and ensure that the final implementation maintains the integrity of your original design intent.
Requirements
To be successful in this position, you should possess the following qualifications:
- At least 5 years of experience in product design, specifically working within software development teams.
- Strong expertise in interaction design and information architecture, particularly for complex, constraint-heavy workflows.
- A deep understanding of modern web technologies, including accessibility standards, keyboard navigation, and focus behavior.
- Proven ability to maintain and evolve design systems across both design assets and code.
- Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to clearly document ideas and facilitate workshops.
- Availability for at least four hours of overlap with the CET timezone.
Location
This is a fully remote role, and you are welcome to work from anywhere.
