The opportunity

As a Software Test Engineer, you will join our flight application software team to ensure our systems are ready for the skies. You will play a vital role in bridging the gap between mechanical, avionics, and algorithmic components by verifying the software that guides our aircraft. This position is perfect for someone who enjoys working at the intersection of hardware and software, as you will be responsible for the integrity of our flight computer applications and the safety of our automated flight controls.

A day in the life

• You will design and execute integrated verification procedures to confirm that our flight software meets all performance and safety standards.
• You will maintain and improve our hardware-in-the-loop testbeds, ensuring our simulation environments provide high-fidelity data for our flight-test crews.
• You will collaborate across multiple engineering departments to investigate issues, perform root-cause analysis, and drive complex problems to a successful resolution.

Who you are

You are a problem solver who thrives in a collaborative, hands-on environment. You have a strong background in software engineering and a passion for robotics or mission-critical systems. To succeed in this role, you should have the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 3 years of experience testing integrated hardware and software products.
• Fluency in Python and C/C++ for developing test frameworks and automation.
• Excellent documentation skills and a talent for clear communication across technical teams.
• Proficiency in root-cause investigation and managing complex software release processes.
