Back-end Engineer at Picket Homes

What you bring

We are seeking a mid-level Back-end Engineer to join our team on a full-time, hybrid basis. In this role, you will collaborate directly with executives, real estate experts, and fellow engineers to refine our technology and drive our product offerings forward. Your core responsibilities will include:

• Designing, building, and supporting scalable distributed RESTful APIs using Node.js.
• Implementing and maintaining microservices architecture to support our growing platform.
• Managing data storage and performance through PostgreSQL and Redis.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should have at least two years of experience working with JavaScript and a strong grasp of software architecture, design patterns, and clean code principles. You must be comfortable using version control tools like GitHub or GitLab and have a solid understanding of CI lifecycles and QA best practices. We value candidates who are self-motivated, organized, and deeply committed to customer success. You should have professional proficiency in English, both written and verbal, and the ability to work effectively within an engineering-focused environment. Familiarity with cloud services like AWS or GCP is also essential for our infrastructure needs.
