At Anlatan we build cutting-edge AI tools that put people first. Our flagship product, NovelAI, helps writers and creators generate stories and images while keeping their data private and free from unnecessary restrictions. We're a small, spirited team that values fresh ideas, playful experimentation, and thoughtful design.
What is this role?
We are hiring a Lead UI Designer to join us on a full-time, remote basis. The position calls for someone with substantial design experience who can guide interface decisions for NovelAI and collaborate closely with both our Lead Designer and the wider product team.
What will you do?
- Sketch and refine user interfaces in Figma, turning team ideas into clear, usable mockups for NovelAI's writing and image-generation features.
- Partner with the frontend engineers to make sure every finalized design is implemented accurately and on schedule.
- Collect thoughtful feedback from users, translate it into design improvements, and explore new ways for people to interact with our AI models.
What makes you a great fit?
You have hands-on experience designing AI-powered products and feel confident using Figma every day. You're fluent in English, comfortable working with complex machine-learning systems, and genuinely excited by both writing and image generation. You balance speed with quality, stay open to feedback, and enjoy tossing out conventional structures when a fresher idea appears. Bonus points if your past AI work extends beyond mainstream chat tools and if your Figma files show the organic, interconnected thinking of a real design process rather than rigid slide decks.
What's in it for you?
We offer a competitive salary along with flexible remote work and the following benefits:
- 401k plan with 3 percent match at 100 percent and an additional 2 percent match at 50 percent
- Vision insurance
- Dental insurance
- Life insurance
- Disability insurance
Beyond the numbers, you'll find an environment built for exploration: plenty of PTO, the freedom to test new ideas, and a culture that treats every team member as a whole person rather than a job title.
