The role

We are seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join our team on a full-time, on-site basis in New York. This is a high-impact role for an experienced professional who wants to own core services architecture and solve complex technical challenges. You will work alongside a talented team to build the software components that enable us to deploy sophisticated systems rapidly, acting as a force multiplier for our entire engineering organization.

Core responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable, robust APIs using Golang to power our core applications.
• Establish and enforce high standards for coding, automated testing, and documentation across the engineering team.
• Collaborate on architectural strategy and troubleshoot technical obstacles within both development and production environments.

Skills and experience

To be successful in this role, you should possess a strong background in software engineering and a desire to build systems that scale. We are looking for the following qualifications:

• Professional proficiency in programming languages such as Golang or Python.
• Extensive experience with database design and modeling, specifically using PostgreSQL.
• A proven track record of developing RESTful services and managing complex ETL processes.
• Familiarity with modern deployment workflows and automated testing practices.
• A degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong communication skills and a bias toward action, with the ability to work on-site in our New York office.

Compensation and benefits
