Program Design and Strategic Partnerships Manager at GOAL Honduras

Since our beginnings in 1998, following the devastation of Hurricane Mitch in Honduras, our organization has been dedicated to addressing the root causes of poverty and social inequality across Latin America and the Caribbean. Today, our team of approximately 200 professionals works tirelessly across several countries, including Honduras and Colombia, to provide humanitarian relief and foster long-term development. We are looking for a passionate and strategic individual to join our Program Design and Strategic Partnerships unit, helping us build the initiatives that turn our vision into reality.

The opportunity

As our Program Design and Strategic Partnerships Manager, you will play a vital role in the future of our operations in Colombia and Honduras. You will sit at the heart of our growth, identifying new opportunities and building the relationships necessary to secure funding for our life-changing projects. Reporting to the Director of Program Design and Strategic Partnerships, you will act as a bridge between our technical teams and our donors, ensuring that our proposals are not only high-quality but also aligned with our mission to support vulnerable populations. This is a full-time, on-site position that requires a leader who is comfortable navigating complex donor landscapes and coordinating across international teams.

A day in the life

• You will lead the development of high-quality concept notes and proposals, working closely with internal departments to ensure our submissions to donors like USAID, the EU, and other multilateral partners are compelling and accurate.
• You will manage the funding pipeline by tracking donor trends, organizing design meetings, and ensuring that our project information is consistently updated and shared with key stakeholders.
• You will serve as a key communicator and coordinator, facilitating relationships with local partners and government entities while providing essential support for grant management and contract reviews.

Who you are

You are a seasoned professional with at least five years of experience in a similar role, ideally backed by a Master’s degree in a field such as International Cooperation, Project Management, Finance, or Social Sciences. You possess a strategic mindset and the ability to lead by example, coupled with the following qualifications:

• Professional fluency in English is a requirement, as you will be responsible for drafting and reviewing complex documents in both English and Spanish.
• You have a proven track record in proposal design for major international donors.
• You are highly organized and proficient in Microsoft Office, with strong public speaking and interpersonal skills.
• You are a methodical thinker who thrives in a collaborative environment and can adapt to flexible schedules when project demands arise.
