Lead Designer at Real

Real is a publicly traded, global real estate brokerage that has been transforming the residential property market since 2014. By blending advanced technology with a human-centric approach, we empower agents and simplify the buying and selling process for clients across the United States, Canada, India, and the District of Columbia. We are currently seeking a Lead Designer to join our team in a full-time, remote capacity. You will work from 9 AM to 6 PM EST, Monday through Friday, and must be based in India to be considered for this role.

Key outcomes

• Collaborate with the Head of Design to evolve our brand identity and ensure design excellence across our portfolio, including mortgage and title services.
• Provide hands-on design execution for digital, print, web, social, and video assets.
• Mentor and lead a distributed team of designers, offering clear creative direction and constructive feedback to elevate the quality of our output.
• Partner with stakeholders in the United States across Marketing, Product, and Growth teams to translate business objectives into effective visual solutions.
• Maintain and scale our brand guidelines, design systems, and templates to ensure consistency across all internal and external communications.
• Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to keep our creative work modern and impactful.

Requirements

• At least 7 years of professional design experience, with a minimum of 1 year in a leadership role managing multidisciplinary teams within a fast-paced or tech-driven environment.
• Expertise in Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and a deep understanding of typography, layout, and digital production.
• Proven ability to manage creative teams across different geographies and time zones.
• Experience developing design systems and brand frameworks, ideally within the real estate, fintech, or proptech sectors.
• Strong communication skills in English, with the ability to turn high-level business goals into polished, actionable design strategies.
• Familiarity with front-end web development is considered an asset.
