Junior Graphic Designer at Apollo Agriculture

By leveraging artificial intelligence and automated operations, we unlock the potential of the small-scale farming market. We provide farmers with essential tools, including optimized financing, high-quality agricultural products, digital expertise, and risk management solutions. Our impact is significant, as we served over 200,000 farmers in Kenya and Zambia in 2023 and generated nearly $30 million in revenue. We are backed by prominent investors such as Softbank Vision Fund and the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative, and our team consists of professionals with experience from organizations like Google, Revolut, and One Acre Fund. We are currently looking for a creative Junior Graphic Designer to join our team in Nairobi on a hybrid basis.

Key outcomes

• Execute design and animation projects with a high level of creativity and precision.
• Engage in collaborative briefing and feedback processes to ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Manage our digital asset library to ensure files are organized and easily accessible.
• Maintain the integrity of the Apollo brand identity across all visual communications.
• Focus primarily on print and editorial design while supporting various marketing and advertising campaigns.
• Participate in professional development through mentorship from the Head of Creative to refine your technical skills.
• Assist the Head of Creative with various design projects as needed.

Requirements

• A degree or diploma in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, or a related discipline.
• Demonstrable artistic talent and a strong creative portfolio, ideally including motion design or animation samples.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, specifically InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
• Technical capability in Premiere Pro and After Effects for video production tasks.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
• Excellent time management skills to balance multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• A proactive attitude toward learning and a willingness to accept constructive feedback.
• Fluency in English.

Preferred qualifications

• Practical experience in photography or videography.
