About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Head of Competitive Intelligence to join us in a full-time capacity. This is a critical leadership role that requires a hybrid presence at our Palo Alto headquarters three days per week. You will be responsible for establishing our competitive intelligence function from the ground up, ensuring our product, marketing, and sales teams are equipped with the insights needed to succeed in a competitive landscape.
Key Responsibilities
- Build our competitive intelligence function from scratch, initially serving as an individual contributor before scaling the team as necessary.
- Categorize our competitors into tiers and conduct ongoing research to provide actionable intelligence on their strategies and offerings.
- Develop and execute a bi-directional dialogue with our sales organization to train the field on competitive tactics while gathering real-time feedback from the front lines.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or a related field.
- At least 10 years of experience in product marketing, product management, or technical sales.
- Three to five years of management experience, specifically in leading technical or product marketing professionals.
- Strong familiarity with SaaS applications, cloud technologies, and enterprise security standards.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to simplify complex concepts for various stakeholders.
- A hands-on, proactive approach to both strategy and execution.
Location
This position is based in the United States, with a mandatory hybrid requirement to work from our Palo Alto headquarters three days per week.
Compensation and Benefits
The annual base salary range for this position is $145,000 to $190,000. Final compensation is determined based on individual experience, skills, and location.
