With 57% of top-tier U.S. venture capital deals involving investors on our platform, we are looking for a Brand Design Lead to help us scale our ambitions and refine our visual identity as we continue to lead the private market software space.
Key outcomes
- Lead and mentor a talented team of brand designers and design technologists, fostering a culture of creativity and professional growth.
- Take creative ownership of the AngelList brand, evolving our visual identity to support our move upmarket and exploring potential sub-brand opportunities.
- Develop and refine design processes and set quarterly goals that align with our broader company objectives.
- Collaborate with marketing, product, and sales teams to create high-impact assets, including landing pages, event materials, and marketing campaigns that resonate with our audience.
- Apply technical expertise in web and mobile development environments to ensure seamless collaboration with our engineering teams.
- Partner with leadership to build a collaborative design culture that thrives on innovation and clear communication.
Requirements
- At least 8 to 10 years of experience in brand design, with a minimum of 2 years in a management role, ideally within a fast-growing SaaS environment.
- A coaching mindset that inspires team members through honest, constructive feedback and mentorship.
- A proven track record of delivering beautiful, impactful design work that translates complex ideas into clear, measurable outputs.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to navigate high-stakes conversations and ensure alignment across diverse stakeholders.
- A deep understanding of product development processes and the ability to solve design challenges across multiple platforms.
- The ability to maintain composure and adapt to changing priorities in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment.
- Fluency in English.
Compensation
The base salary for this position is $230,000 annually. In addition to the base salary, we provide a comprehensive benefits package that includes equity compensation. We also offer a hybrid work model, requiring team members to work from our San Francisco or New York City offices two days per week.
