The role
We are seeking a Traffic and Inventory Specialist to join our team on a full-time, hybrid basis. This is a mid-level position reporting directly to the Director of Marketing Operations. You will play a key role in managing on-air inventory and supporting our digital campaigns across multiple stations. While this role can be based at any of our TEGNA station locations, we have a preference for candidates located in Dallas, Texas.
Core responsibilities
- Execute the entry of traffic instructions for marketing assets with high accuracy while providing excellent service to our clients, agencies, and internal stakeholders.
- Manage and maintain the end-to-end processes for our digital product line, including proposal delivery and asset trafficking.
- Collaborate closely with sales teams, marketing producers, and external partners to ensure all commercial materials are processed, quality-checked, and ready for broadcast or digital distribution under tight deadlines.
Skills and experience
To be successful in this role, you should have a strong background in broadcast or digital media operations. We are looking for the following qualifications:
- At least 2 years of experience in traffic or sales support within the broadcast, cable, digital, or radio industries.
- Proficiency with WideOrbit traffic software is required.
- Strong familiarity with Microsoft Office, specifically Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Experience with Salesforce or other CRM platforms is preferred.
- Exceptional organizational skills, a high level of attention to detail, and the ability to solve problems quickly under pressure.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Compensation and benefits
The salary range for this position is $55,000 to $65,000 per year. We provide a comprehensive benefits package designed to support the health and well-being of our employees and their families, including:
