The opportunity
As Technical Lead II on the Reporting AI Backend team, you will shape how AI-driven insights are woven into every HubSpot product. You will balance deep technical work with the responsibility of steering a small, autonomous group of engineers, ensuring our backend services remain reliable while we experiment with new ways to deliver answers faster. Your leadership will directly influence how customers experience the value of their data and how our engineering practices evolve across the wider organization.
A day in the life
- Pairing with engineers, product managers, and designers to translate ambitious AI ideas into production-ready backend features that surface insights quickly and accurately.
- Reviewing code, coaching teammates through complex data problems, and setting the technical direction that keeps our services performant at massive scale.
- Owning projects from first sketch through rollout, collaborating across teams to deliver infrastructure that thousands of customers rely on every day.
Who you are
You have led engineers or projects before and are comfortable taking responsibility for both the design and delivery of software. You enjoy staying hands-on with code while mentoring others, and you bring clear, thoughtful communication to every cross-functional conversation. Experience building AI-powered features is a plus, and you are fluent in English. A customer-first mindset and genuine interest in growing your craft round out the profile we are looking for.
