Role at a glance

We are seeking a Senior Technical Designer to join our team on a fixed-term contract basis through March 2025. This is a hybrid role based in Canada, where you will blend creative design with technical implementation to bring high-level UI and UX features to life.

Your impact

• Design and implement large-scale UI and UX features while maintaining our high standards for style and functionality.
• Master our proprietary tools and pipelines to take visual elements like text, bitmaps, and animations from concept to a polished, fully functional state.
• Partner with engineering and design leads to solve complex technical challenges and ensure our UI content is scalable, organized, and optimized for performance.

What you'll need

To thrive in this role, you should be a creative problem solver with a deep passion for game UI. We are looking for someone who brings the following to the table:

• Proven experience in the technical implementation of large-scale software or game projects.
• A solid grasp of UX methodology, UI mechanics, and design theory.
• Technical proficiency in picking up complex authoring tools and a strong understanding of engine constraints and graphics optimization.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to advocate for best practices across a project.
• Fluency in English.
• Bonus points if you have experience with Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Perforce, or scripting languages.
