The opportunity

As a Technical Designer, you will serve as a bridge between design, art, and engineering. Your primary mission is to plan and implement large-scale UI and UX features that define how players interact with the Destiny 2 universe. This role is perfect for a professional who enjoys the challenge of taking a design from a concept to a fully polished, functional state. You will help shape the future of this iconic game by ensuring our visual experiences are not only beautiful but also technically sound and optimized for performance.

A day in the life

• You will build and maintain complex UI and UX features, ensuring they align with our established design guidelines and style standards.
• You will master our proprietary software tools and pipelines to implement visual elements, including text, bitmaps, and animations, into the game engine.
• You will collaborate daily with engineering and design leads to solve creative problems, address technical constraints, and advocate for best practices in UI content development.

Who you are

We are looking for a candidate who brings significant experience in the technical implementation of large-scale software or game projects. You should have a deep understanding of UI mechanics, UX methodology, and design theory. Because this role requires constant cross-functional collaboration, you must be an effective communicator with a sharp eye for detail and a knack for creative problem-solving. We value candidates who are comfortable working in a hybrid environment within Canada and who are fluent in English. While not required, experience with Adobe Creative Cloud, scripting or programming, and previous work on AAA titles will certainly help you hit the ground running.
