Staff Product Designer at PermitFlow

We are PermitFlow, and we are fundamentally changing how construction happens across America. As an applied AI company, we tackle the massive information gap in the building industry by helping developers understand exactly what can be built, where, and how. Our AI agents assist construction firms in managing everything from initial permitting and licensing to final inspections. We have already supported over $20 billion in development, helping our clients reduce compliance delays and scale their projects with confidence. Having raised over $90 million from top-tier investors like Accel and Kleiner Perkins, we are now looking for a Staff Product Designer to join our team on a full-time basis. While this role is remote-friendly, we have a strong preference for candidates based in or willing to relocate to New York City, where our headquarters operates on a hybrid schedule.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end design initiatives, working cross-functionally with engineering and our customers to build intuitive, scalable, and visually compelling applications.
• Identify and evaluate opportunities to enhance the user experience and visual design of our platform while contributing to our broader product strategy.
• Establish foundational design processes that promote a design-centric culture and collaborate with marketing and sales teams to develop high-quality branding and collateral.

Requirements

• At least 6 years of experience in software design, with a particular focus on B2B products and complex workflows.
• A strong portfolio that demonstrates your ability to deliver high-quality design thinking in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with industry-standard tools such as Figma, Notion, and Linear.
• A high tolerance for ambiguity and the ability to thrive in a rapidly evolving startup environment.
• Excellent communication skills and the technical competence to collaborate effectively with engineering teams regarding design trade-offs and implementation.
