What you bring
We are seeking a Senior Staff DevOps Engineer to join us on a full-time, remote basis. You will be instrumental in building the next generation of cloud applications using a modern tech stack that includes AWS, Kafka, and Kubernetes. Your work will directly support our event-based architecture as it processes tens of millions of events daily. You will be based anywhere, working with a team that values innovation and scalability.
- You will design and implement the tools and processes that allow our engineering teams to operate in a self-managed, owner-operator model.
- You will establish and maintain infrastructure as code standards to ensure consistent and reliable deployments across our environments.
- You will collaborate closely with software engineers to define repeatable patterns that accelerate our development lifecycle while maintaining production stability.
Requirements
The ideal candidate is a lifelong learner who is deeply passionate about site reliability, high availability, and release engineering. We require a background in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience, along with at least four years of programming expertise in languages such as Python, JavaScript, or TypeScript. You should possess extensive knowledge of AWS cloud infrastructure, including EKS and RDS, and have significant experience managing and scaling Kubernetes clusters. Proficiency in infrastructure as code tools like Terraform and Helm is essential, as is a strong command of Linux and shell scripting. You should be comfortable working in an Agile environment and have experience with monitoring tools like Datadog or SumoLogic to ensure our systems remain performant and secure. Fluency in English is required for this role.
