We are currently looking for a Senior Technical Designer to join our team in the United States and help us continue to challenge conventions in the life sciences sector.
Key outcomes
- Lead diverse projects, ranging from small-scale assignments to large, complex developments.
- Manage the planning, programming, and comprehensive development of various laboratory environments.
- Partner closely with clients to provide dedicated support and integrate seamlessly with their internal teams.
- Collaborate with Design Principals and cross-functional team members to ensure our methodology is applied effectively throughout the project lifecycle.
- Deliver technical expertise in building design and construction documentation, including a strong command of local building codes.
- Oversee construction administration for laboratory spaces and their associated systems.
- Implement rigorous quality assurance and quality control methods at every stage of the project.
- Facilitate clear communication between clients, consultants, and construction teams to ensure exceptional project outcomes.
- Develop and present innovative laboratory planning concepts that align with client goals.
- Translate complex planning concepts into accessible information for all stakeholders.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of experience in science and laboratory planning, with a focus on high-profile life science or pharmaceutical projects.
- A proven ability to establish and maintain high-quality lab standards and guidelines.
- A track record of leading high-performing design teams across life science, corporate, and commercial sectors.
- Advanced knowledge of the technical and regulatory requirements essential for laboratory design.
- Deep understanding of laboratory programming, including space planning, operational needs, equipment integration, and MEP systems.
- Proficiency in industry-standard design tools, specifically Revit, CAD, InDesign, Photoshop, and Excel.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to pitch to high-profile clients.
- Fluency in English.
Preferred qualifications
- Direct experience in the design and development of large-scale corporate campuses.
