We are looking for a dedicated Sr Manager, Account Management to join our team in a full-time, remote capacity within the United States. At FORWARD, we specialize in helping public sector organizations administer assistance programs at scale. As a key member of our Growth leadership team, you will play a vital role in expanding our impact by identifying new opportunities, nurturing existing client relationships, and serving as a trusted advisor to our partners. This position is perfect for a leader who is passionate about public sector innovation and eager to guide a high-performing team toward ambitious goals.

Key outcomes

  • Identify and track new business opportunities within the California public sector by building strong relationships with key stakeholders and department staff.
  • Manage the full lifecycle of opportunities, from initial prospecting and qualification to contract negotiation and closing.
  • Mentor, train, and provide feedback to a diverse team to ensure collaborative success and professional development.
  • Oversee the creation of high-quality pitch decks and proposals, acting as a subject matter expert for your team.
  • Maintain deep connections with current customers to identify expansion opportunities and pilot programs, ensuring a smooth transition to our Operations team.
  • Provide regular reporting to senior leadership regarding performance metrics, goal attainment, and strategic insights.
  • Coordinate team logistics for conferences, site visits, and networking events to maintain a strong presence in the field.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in Account Management, Business Development, and Sales.
  • Strong background in Team Leadership and mentoring others to achieve collective targets.
  • Expertise in Contract Negotiation, Proposal Writing, and Stakeholder Management.
  • Proficiency in using CRM tools to track leads and manage prospect information.
  • Professional fluency in English.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a remote work environment while supporting team activities across California.
