Software Engineer at Argo Labs

At Argo Labs we are building an early-stage AI voice-to-voice platform that transforms how restaurants handle customer calls. Our core product is an intelligent agent that takes orders, manages reservations, and answers common questions over the phone, freeing staff to focus on service. We are a small, fast-moving team looking for engineers who want to shape both the product and the codebase from the ground up.

What you'll be doing

• Design, build, test, and maintain scalable software across the full stack, ensuring every feature you own is reliable, performant, and well-documented.
• Work side-by-side with product, design, and fellow engineers to turn business requirements into clean technical solutions while contributing to architecture discussions and the overall technical roadmap.
• Identify performance bottlenecks or security risks, conduct code reviews, and help set the engineering standards that keep our growing codebase healthy.

What you'll bring

We are looking for a senior engineer who brings deep Python expertise and a solid grasp of core software design principles. You should be comfortable leading open-ended projects and coordinating across teams in a fast-paced startup setting. Experience with modern web frameworks, cloud infrastructure, real-time communication tools, or AI/ML workloads is valuable, yet what matters most is your ability to learn quickly and deliver production-ready code across the stack. Strong problem-solving skills and clear communication will help you thrive here.
