The opportunity

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Normal EDA team. In this role, you will be at the heart of our mission, crafting the interfaces and workflows that hardware engineers rely on to verify the chips powering modern technology. You will be responsible for architecting user experiences that make AI-assisted semiconductor verification both powerful and intuitive. This is a chance to shape how an entire industry operates by bridging the gap between complex AI capabilities and practical, high-performance product engineering.

A day in the life

• You will build integrated prototypes that bring AI to life, stitching together LLMs, backend services, and polished frontend interfaces to create functional tools for our users.
• You will collaborate with product designers to ensure our interfaces are pixel-perfect, maintaining an exceptionally high standard for usability and design quality.
• You will own the APIs and orchestration patterns that connect our frontend applications to ML inference servers, ensuring a seamless experience for our users.

Who you are

You are a seasoned engineer with 5 to 8 years of experience in frontend development, and you have a passion for building sophisticated, high-quality user experiences. We value candidates who have a background as a zero-to-one engineering lead or a startup founder. You should be highly proficient in TypeScript and React, with a deep understanding of modern frontend architecture and state management. Because our work sits at the intersection of AI and hardware, you should have experience building AI-powered applications and a genuine curiosity about how to design interfaces that augment user workflows. You are a strong communicator, fluent in English, and you thrive in environments where you can work independently to deliver impactful outcomes.
