Software Engineer AI Full Stack at TrustFlight

What is this role?

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join us in a full-time, on-site capacity in Canada. In this role, you will be embedded within a product squad to develop AI-powered capabilities for safety-critical aviation workflows. You will report to our Tech Lead and work across our full stack, focusing heavily on integrating AI features into our web applications, backend services, and Python-based processing pipelines.

What will you do?

• Take ownership of AI reliability by building production-grade features that are measurable, debuggable, and safe for compliance-heavy environments.
• Develop and evolve agent-style capabilities, including tool calling and multi-agent patterns, while integrating with major LLM providers.
• Create robust tools that connect our models to product context, such as document retrieval systems and AI-assisted workflows, while maintaining high standards for automated testing.

What makes you a great fit?

You are a skilled engineer with 3 to 5 years of professional experience in shipping production-grade software. You have a strong grasp of engineering fundamentals and a proven track record of delivering AI features that handle real-world challenges like latency, retries, and error handling. You are comfortable working across the full stack and possess a growth mindset that allows you to adapt quickly in a small team environment. Proficiency in English is required, and you should be comfortable working with Python, APIs, and backend services. Experience in regulated or safety-critical industries is a significant plus.

What's in it for you?
