Role at a glance

We are hiring a Software Developer, Machine Learning on a full-time basis. This mid-level role is open in a hybrid setup from our Ottawa office or fully remote across other Canadian locations.

Your impact

• Design, build, and ship production-grade machine-learning services that solve forecasting, optimization, and replenishment challenges for global retail, consumer packaged goods, and life-sciences customers.
• Own the full ML development lifecycle-from data pipelines and model training to deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement-while balancing scalability, maintainability, and rapid delivery.
• Collaborate daily with product managers, data scientists, and platform engineers to translate complex business requirements into robust, customer-facing software that drives measurable value.

What you'll need

You bring a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science or a related field with a focus on machine learning, plus at least four years of enterprise software development experience, including two years building ML systems at scale. You write clean, object-oriented Python, understand core ML algorithms, and have hands-on experience creating, debugging, and optimizing data pipelines and transformations. You are comfortable working in Linux environments, deploying with Docker and Kubernetes, and leveraging distributed frameworks such as Spark or Hive. A disciplined approach to testing and continuous integration, along with clear written and verbal communication skills, rounds out your profile. Experience with Helm, Argo workflows, multi-tenant SaaS platforms, or major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus, as is domain knowledge in retail or CPG.
