Software Architect Ruby on Rails at dotPH

We are currently looking for a Senior Software Architect to join our team in the Philippines on a full-time, on-site basis. Our organization is dedicated to building robust, high-performance digital solutions, and we rely on a sophisticated tech stack to serve our users effectively. As a key member of our engineering group, you will play a central role in shaping the technical direction of our platforms while ensuring our systems remain scalable and secure.

Key outcomes

• Take the lead on designing and developing high-performance software systems that prioritize reliability and security.
• Establish clear architectural blueprints and enforce best practices across all our services.
• Manage and optimize our PostgreSQL database environments to maintain high performance and data integrity.
• Utilize AWS services like EC2, S3, RDS, and Lambda to create efficient, cloud-based infrastructure.
• Build and maintain complex applications using Ruby on Rails.
• Develop and oversee API infrastructures to ensure smooth communication between various system components.
• Design and maintain a modular microservices architecture that allows for a decoupled and scalable environment.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have extensive experience in software design and development. We require a deep understanding of the following technologies and methodologies:

• Expertise in Ruby on Rails for web development.
• Strong proficiency in PostgreSQL for database design and optimization.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services to build and manage cloud infrastructure.
• Proven ability to architect and maintain microservices.
• Excellent communication skills in English to collaborate effectively with our team.

Preferred qualifications

While not mandatory, we consider it a significant advantage if you possess knowledge of DNS systems and domain management. This background helps us deliver more comprehensive and integrated solutions to our clients.
