Social Media Intern
We are World of Dance, a leading organization in the global dance community that connects artists, fans, and audiences through live events, digital content, and media initiatives. Our team is looking for a Social Media Intern to support the planning, creation, and performance tracking of our online presence across multiple platforms.
Key outcomes
- Publish and moderate social media content such as videos and photo albums on our official channels.
- Assist in developing new social media posts and creative assets that align with ongoing campaigns.
- Track engagement metrics, compile performance reports, and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Respond to comments and direct messages to maintain active, positive communication with our audience.
- Conduct research on dance-related topics and trends to inform content strategy.
- Apply photo editing skills when needed to enhance visual materials before publication.
Requirements
- Hands-on familiarity with major social media platforms and their business applications.
- Strong written communication skills in English.
- Ability to work independently with a personal laptop or workstation.
- Availability to work a minimum of 20 hours per week from our offices in Cerritos, California.
- Enthusiasm for learning and a proactive approach to asking questions and seeking feedback.
Preferred qualifications
- Prior experience managing or contributing to brand or business social media accounts.
- Advanced knowledge of YouTube content strategy and optimization.
- Photo editing proficiency and familiarity with the dance community.
Compensation
This is a non-paid internship that offers remote work flexibility in addition to the required in-office hours.
