The scope of this contract position includes using creativity, technical expertise, and strategic thinking to create engaging, impactful, and sharable content across various platforms and brands to drive awareness, inspire change, and foster a supportive, inclusive community.
CONTRACT SCOPE
Content Ideation & Creation:
- Create and deliver high-quality short-form videos, reels, static & motion visuals across social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn) and target audiences (members, volunteers, donors, community and research partners).
- Apply strong storytelling techniques to create compelling content that resonates with our aforementioned audience groups.
- Curate and develop engaging content themes, develop storyboards, write scripts, and design quality visual elements.
- Work closely with in-house subject matter experts to co-create content that is accurate, credible, and authentic.
Content Optimization & Performance
- Monitor and implement the latest trends and best practices in social media and content marketing.
- Tailor content for various social media platforms to optimize impact, engagement, and audience reach.
- Complete weekly performance analysis of content across different platforms.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Demonstrated experience in creating multimedia content, managing social media platforms, and executing content marketing strategies
- Ability to adapt addiction/mental health-related concepts/themes into relatable, authentic content; humor is welcomed and encouraged
- Strong understanding of all social media platforms and their algorithms
- Excellent writing and communication skills
- Proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro), graphic design, and content management systems
- Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
- Passion for recovery, mental health, and/or social justice
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
PREFERENCES

CONTRACT TERMS
- Number of hours: 10-20 hours per week
- Location: Boston, MA
- Schedule: Flexible with occasional weekends/nights for capturing events. Will need to effectively manage time against deadlines
- Term length: 3 months with possibility of extension

Since 2006, we have served hundreds of thousands of individuals with the help of thousands of volunteers across the country.
