Welcome to Tapas Entertainment, a premier digital publisher and entertainment hub dedicated to webcomics, web novels, and the development of original intellectual property. We are deeply committed to the art of storytelling and strive to deliver captivating content to readers all over the world. We are currently looking for a creative individual to help us expand our reach and connect with our global community.
What is this role?
We are looking for a Social Media and Publicity Associate to join our team on a full-time, six-month contract basis. This is a junior-level position that offers the possibility of an extension. While this role is remote, there may be opportunities for in-office work in Culver City. You will play a vital role in elevating our brand presence and driving publicity for our Tapas Originals and K-Comics titles.
What will you do?
- Develop and implement social media strategies, which includes writing engaging copy, designing visuals, monitoring audience interactions, and analyzing performance metrics.
- Collaborate closely with our partners at Kakao Entertainment and our internal teams to ensure our publishing schedules are perfectly aligned and cohesive.
- Manage publicity outreach by building media lists, drafting compelling pitch letters, and securing coverage for our titles, while also producing short-form video content for platforms like TikTok and Instagram Reels.
What makes you a great fit?
You are a pop culture enthusiast who understands the nuances of digital trends and knows how to turn them into meaningful engagement. We value candidates who bring a mix of technical ability and creative storytelling to the table.
- You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, English, or a related field, and you are either a recent graduate or a graduating senior.
- You have a genuine passion for webcomics, especially Korean and Chinese titles.
- You are comfortable using design tools like Photoshop and Canva to create eye-catching assets.
- You are familiar with productivity and communication platforms such as Google Suite, Slack, Monday, and Basecamp.
- You possess excellent organizational skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Being bilingual in Korean is a significant plus, though not strictly required.
What's in it for you?
We believe in providing a flexible work environment that supports your professional growth. The primary benefit of this role is the opportunity for remote work, allowing you to contribute to our mission from anywhere.
