Picture a small business owner in South Los Angeles who needs to hire a junior developer but cannot find the right talent locally. Now imagine being the person who shows them how an apprenticeship program can solve that problem while giving someone else a fresh start in tech. That is the kind of impact you can create every day at OpenClassrooms.
The opportunity
We are expanding our US presence by bringing registered apprenticeship programs to small and medium businesses that need practical ways to recruit, reskill, and retain tech talent. As our Senior SMB Account Executive, Edtech, you will sit on the Direct Sales team and own the full sales cycle for these apprenticeship solutions. Your work directly fuels our mission to open doors to meaningful careers while helping local employers future-proof their teams.
A day in the life
- You spend the morning identifying promising SMB prospects in Salesforce, focusing on companies that face tech hiring gaps or want to improve retention through upskilling.
- In the afternoon you attend a local talent or tech conference, staff our booth, and present our apprenticeship model to a room of curious small-business owners.
- Before logging off you log your weekly commitments, update pipeline activity, and celebrate another closed deal that will bring more than ten new apprentices into the workforce this year.
Who you are
You bring at least five years of quota-carrying sales experience, including time spent in a startup or scale-up environment. You have sold talent, learning and development, higher-education, EdTech, or SaaS solutions, and you feel at home navigating the SMB sales funnel. An active network in US apprenticeship, bootcamp, or vocational-training circles is a plus, as is prior exposure to Registered Apprenticeship Programs. You are fluent in English, comfortable with Salesforce, Slack, Notion, and Google Workspace, and you combine sharp business acumen with a genuine passion for education and workforce innovation.
Why you'll love it here
