What is this role?

We are looking for a Senior Technical Designer to join our team on a full-time basis. This is a senior-level position where you will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between design and engineering. Please note that while this role can be performed on a remote, hybrid, or onsite basis, you must be based in the UK to be eligible.

What will you do?

• Collaborate across disciplines, including art, engineering, and production, to ensure our game vision is technically sound and aligned with our goals.
• Create prototypes for new gameplay features and provide guidance to the wider team on how to bring these ideas into the game.
• Design, implement, and take full ownership of various game systems, ensuring they satisfy both our high design standards and technical requirements.

What makes you a great fit?

To succeed in this role, you should have a strong background in design or engineering with a specific focus on technical design. We are looking for someone who has shipped at least one commercial title on current-generation consoles and possesses a deep understanding of game and level design principles. You should be comfortable working within Unreal Engine and using visual scripting tools like Blueprints. Experience with networking is highly valued, and multiplayer experience is considered a significant bonus. Finally, you should have the ability to analyze and deconstruct existing work to help improve our own internal workflows.
