What you bring
As a Senior Solar Project Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in our project engineering team by spearheading design initiatives for solar and energy storage systems across various markets. This is a full-time, hybrid position based in our Boston or DC offices. You will be responsible for managing the full project lifecycle, from development through construction, while utilizing your expertise in Engineering, Solar, Design, and Helioscope to ensure our projects are optimized for both performance and cost.
- Manage the end-to-end engineering and design process for solar power plants and energy storage systems to support development, permitting, and construction.
- Lead energy modeling efforts using advanced software like Helioscope and PVSYST to ensure design accuracy and efficiency.
- Provide critical technical support to our construction and development teams, resolving technical challenges and ensuring code compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements
We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in engineering and at least four years of experience designing and optimizing ground-mounted PV projects. You should possess a deep understanding of power engineering principles, including proficiency in AutoCAD and energy modeling tools. A successful candidate will have a solid grasp of NEC, IBC, and IFC codes, along with experience managing project portfolios in collaboration with external teams. We value individuals who demonstrate an ownership mentality, possess excellent communication skills, and have a proven ability to analyze data to solve complex technical problems. A degree in engineering is required, and professional certifications such as NABCEP or EIT are highly preferred.
What we offer
