The role

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our product customization team on a full-time, remote basis. In this role, you will be a vital contributor to the applications we build for students. We need someone who looks beyond the code to understand how their work directly impacts our clients and the success of the institutions we serve. This is a senior-level position for an engineer who is ready to lead and collaborate across multiple product teams.

Core responsibilities

• Design and maintain scalable web applications that span from the browser and backend microservices down to the database layer.
• Develop new features while providing ongoing maintenance and improvements across our suite of products.
• Collaborate with various engineering teams to solve complex client problems and mentor other engineers on software design and best practices.

Skills and experience

We are looking for candidates who possess the following qualifications:

• Between 5 and 10 or more years of professional software engineering experience.
• Proven ability to design, build, and debug modern web applications and multi-tenant RESTful services.
• Strong technical proficiency in several of the following areas: JavaScript, TypeScript, React, SQL, Java, C#, or PHP.
• An intermediate level of English reading proficiency.
• Experience with AWS is considered a significant advantage.
• Fluency in Spanish and English is highly valued.

Compensation and benefits
