The opportunity
We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Search Team in India. In this role, you will be a key contributor to the infrastructure that powers our search capabilities. You will design and implement complex integrations, ensuring that our users can find the information they need quickly and intuitively. By leveraging cutting-edge technologies like vector-based search, natural language processing, and machine learning-driven ranking, you will help us deliver a highly personalized and relevant experience. A day in the life
- You will design and optimize robust connectors and integrations with third-party platforms to expand the capabilities of our search ecosystem.
- You will contribute to the scalability and reliability of our search platform by building efficient data pipelines and managing complex indexing strategies.
- You will collaborate with our data science team to fine-tune ranking algorithms and implement advanced search features that improve accuracy based on real user behavior.
Who you are
You are a seasoned engineer with 4 to 5 years of experience and a deep passion for search technologies. You communicate effectively in English and thrive in a collaborative, cross-functional environment. Your technical background includes the following:
- Strong proficiency in Python and a proven track record of writing scalable, maintainable code.
- Hands-on experience with Elasticsearch, including indexing, querying, and performance optimization.
- Familiarity with modern search concepts such as semantic search, NLP, and machine learning-driven ranking.
- Experience designing large-scale systems, including working with event-driven processing, Kafka, and cloud platforms like AWS or Azure.
- Expertise in building and consuming RESTful APIs and managing ETL pipelines for large-scale data systems.
