At Petal, we are on a mission to reshape the future of healthcare. As a leading Canadian healthcare orchestration and billing company, we build tools that make medical systems more agile, efficient, and resilient. By leveraging advanced analytics and healthcare business intelligence, we provide the insights necessary to shape world-class care. Our commitment to our people has earned us recognition as a Great Place to Work in both the technology and healthcare sectors, and we are looking for someone who shares our passion for improving healthcare in meaningful, innovative ways.
The opportunity
We are seeking a Senior Product Designer to join our collaborative team. You will report directly to the Director of Product Design and work within a Product, Design, and Engineering triad. Your primary goal is to turn complex healthcare workflows into intuitive, valuable experiences for our users. While this is a remote position, you will have the opportunity to connect with your colleagues in person at our Montreal office up to twice per month. You will play a vital role in our design practice, using your expertise to solve challenging problems while integrating cutting-edge AI tools into your daily workflow.
A day in the life
- You will own the end-to-end design process, from initial problem exploration and user research to final delivery and implementation support.
- You will partner with your triad to translate intricate healthcare needs into clear, accessible, and high-fidelity web or mobile experiences.
- You will experiment with AI-assisted tools to accelerate your prototyping, iteration, and validation phases while maintaining a high standard of design quality.
Who you are
You are a seasoned designer with at least seven years of experience, ideally within B2B, B2C, or B2G SaaS environments. You are comfortable navigating ambiguity and can balance user needs with technical constraints. You possess expert proficiency in Figma, interaction design, and information architecture. Because we operate in a bilingual environment, you must be fluent in both French and English. You have a strong background in accessibility standards and inclusive design, and you are naturally curious about how AI can enhance the design process. If you have experience in healthcare or other highly regulated industries, that is a significant bonus.
Why you'll love it here
We believe in supporting our team members both professionally and personally. You will have a strong voice in our product direction and the chance to work on systems that make a real-world impact. Our benefits package is designed to provide security and promote well-being:
- Generous paid time off, including 4 to 6 weeks of vacation and 5 personal days.
- Comprehensive medical insurance and access to the Lumino Health telehealth application.
- A 401k-style group RRSP and DPSP plan with employer contributions.
- Wellness programs and an annual wellness allowance.
- Support for a flexible lifestyle with recurring remote work allowances.
