We are a remote-first organization that values autonomy, accountability, and a fiercely inclusive culture, and we are currently seeking a Senior Manager, Visual Design to join our growing Brand and Communications team.

Key outcomes

• Lead, mentor, and develop our visual design team by establishing clear expectations, fostering creative growth, and promoting high-quality design standards.
• Act as a player-coach who guides the team to push the boundaries of our brand while managing day-to-day operations.
• Build and scale robust design systems and processes that mature our visual identity and improve operational efficiency.
• Serve as a strategic partner to the business, prioritizing design needs, defining success metrics, and ensuring our visual output aligns with company goals.
• Establish effective feedback loops across the marketing organization and other internal teams to maximize creative output.
• Collaborate with the Head of Communications and Brand to define career ladders and represent the design team’s needs to leadership.
• Evolve the Honeycomb visual style to reflect our position as an innovative leader in the developer tools space.

Requirements

• Proven experience in leading and scaling a visual design team.
• Expert knowledge of graphic design foundations, including typography, color theory, hierarchy, composition, and design psychology.
• A strong background in B2B branding and designing for technical or developer-focused audiences.
• Demonstrated ability to translate complex business objectives into effective design solutions.
• A systems-oriented mindset with the ability to identify process gaps and implement best practices.
• Strong cross-functional communication skills with the confidence to manage conflict and provide constructive feedback.
• Experience managing external relationships, including freelancers and creative agencies.
• Proficiency in English.

Compensation

The base salary range for this position is $177,000 to $208,000. In addition to salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package designed to support your well-being and professional growth:
