Key outcomes
- Develop and lead strategic initiatives, including packaging and creative testing, marketing mix modeling, and innovation assessments, to support our business objectives.
- Oversee research vendors throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring that data collection and analysis translate into actionable business recommendations.
- Collaborate with our marketing team and agency partners to integrate consumer insights into creative briefs and communication strategies.
- Design and implement innovative solutions for measuring media spend, attribution, incrementality, and customer lifetime value.
- Track key performance indicators, such as brand health, competitive performance, and household penetration, to inform our strategy.
- Partner with internal and external stakeholders to conduct annual brand assessments that guide our long-range planning.
- Manage the consumer insights budget by evaluating the impact and necessity of each project.
- Identify and explain business drivers and competitive challenges to stakeholders to help uncover new growth opportunities.
- Promote a data-driven culture by aligning marketing objectives with clear metrics and insights.
Requirements
- Seven to eight years of market research experience within a CPG company, with specific budget management responsibilities.
- Proficiency in utilizing syndicated and custom data sets, such as SPINS, Numerator, Nielsen, or IRI.
- Proven ability to select research vendors, design studies, and implement new methodologies.
- Experience balancing both qualitative and quantitative research projects, including oversight of timelines and deliverables.
- A business-owner mindset with the ability to influence decision-making at a senior level.
- A strong foundation in measuring marketing performance across paid, earned, and owned media channels.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- An entrepreneurial spirit, characterized by the courage to challenge assumptions and make decisive choices.
- Fluency in English.
Compensation
The base salary for this position is between $130,000 and $135,000, plus a bonus. We also offer the benefit of a fully remote work environment.
