About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Hardware Engineer to join us on a full-time basis. This role is perfect for a seasoned professional who enjoys balancing hands-on technical work with strategic organizational support. You will work closely with our research scientists, software engineers, and AI specialists to refine our spectroscopic acquisition systems and ensure they integrate seamlessly with our software stack. Your contributions will directly impact our ability to deliver high-quality, reliable hardware solutions that align with our core business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Refine and optimize spectrographic acquisition systems, such as Raman spectrometers and hyperspectral imagers, while ensuring they function perfectly with our AI software.
- Oversee hardware quality assurance protocols, including the documentation of testing standards and ensuring full compliance with regulatory requirements like FDA and UL.
- Manage vendor relationships and identify strategic opportunities to reduce production costs without sacrificing the quality or performance of our devices.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should possess a strong technical background and a proactive approach to problem-solving. We require the following qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Optical Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience in hardware engineering, with a preference for backgrounds in imaging systems, robotics, or embedded systems.
- A proven ability to design, integrate, calibrate, and troubleshoot hardware within a lab or industrial setting.
- Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills, allowing you to explain complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
- Familiarity with regulatory standards and quality management practices.
