The role

We are seeking a talented Senior Handbag Designer to join our team in the Netherlands on a full-time basis. This is a hybrid role designed for a creative professional with approximately five years of experience in the leather goods industry. You will be responsible for managing projects independently while collaborating across departments to ensure our designs remain at the forefront of the industry. We are looking for someone with the potential to grow into a leadership position, bringing both technical expertise and a forward-thinking approach to our design studio.

Core responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of bag collections, from initial moodboards and concept research to final technical packs.
• Integrate AI tools into your workflow to optimize ideation, concept development, and research processes.
• Oversee the full sample development cycle, including prototype adjustments and final approvals, while coordinating closely with international suppliers to ensure quality and aesthetic consistency.

Skills and experience

To succeed in this role, you should possess a strong blend of creative vision and technical precision. We require the following qualifications:

• A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in bag design or leather goods.
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Illustrator.
• Hands-on experience utilizing AI tools to support creative and technical workflows.
• Comprehensive knowledge of leather types, material properties, and manufacturing processes.
• Professional fluency in English for effective communication with global partners.
• A portfolio that demonstrates both your technical skill and your ability to innovate within the luxury space.
