At Arbital Health, we are transforming the American healthcare system by accelerating the transition from fee-for-service models to value-based care. We are building a neutral, third-party platform that empowers our customers to design, measure, and adjudicate complex agreements, ultimately ensuring patients receive the high-quality care they deserve. We are seeking a Senior Fullstack Software Engineer to join our founding team and help us build this innovative product from the ground up.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and scale our healthcare data and analytics platform using Python, Databricks, and AWS to process large volumes of complex medical claims.
  • Partner closely with our actuarial science team to integrate their workflows and data analysis into our platform.
  • Take ownership of the full product lifecycle, from initial design and MVP development to scaling and maturing features.
  • Drive innovation by delivering high-caliber, reliable code that directly impacts our customers and the healthcare industry.
  • Collaborate across product, design, and engineering teams in a fast-paced, startup environment.

Must-haves

  • Proven experience in full-stack development with a demonstrated ability to build products from scratch and scale them effectively.
  • Strong technical proficiency in Python, React, NextJS, and Tailwind.
  • Experience working with cloud infrastructure and data tools, specifically AWS, Databricks, Heroku, and Tableau.
  • An entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to thrive in ambiguous, rapidly changing environments with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and a high level of attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid model, with a preference for candidates based in the San Francisco Bay Area who can work from the office once per week, or remote candidates willing to travel for in-person collaboration.

Nice-to-haves

  • Prior experience working within a startup environment.

Benefits

  • Generous equity grants in the form of ISO stock options.
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance, including a $1500 monthly company contribution toward premiums.
  • 4% 401(k) retirement plan match.
  • Flexible paid time off, including 10 holidays and a dedicated weeklong winter shutdown.
  • Hybrid work flexibility with quarterly team offsites to foster collaboration.
  • The opportunity to serve as a founding engineer and shape the future of value-based healthcare.
