At Kickoff we are building an AI-enabled wellness super app that brings exercise, nutrition, sleep, and mindfulness together in one place. Our coaches use the platform to deliver daily personalized recommendations, helping clients form lasting healthy habits and shifting the world toward preventive health. We are looking for a senior full stack engineer who is excited to shape both our product and our culture while working side-by-side with the team in New York City.
What you'll be doing
- Own large-scale projects that directly improve how clients build healthier routines, spending the majority of your time coding and iterating on new features.
- Work with product, design, and fellow engineers to understand user needs, run quick analyses, and turn insights into product decisions.
- Apply generative AI, machine learning, and other modern tools to create coach-facing automation, gamified social experiences, and smarter exercise and nutrition recommendations.
What you'll bring
- At least four years of full-stack experience building and shipping production software.
- Strong JavaScript skills with production experience in React, React Native, Node, and Next.js.
- Comfort working with SQL and performing quantitative analysis to guide product choices.
- A track record of collaborating closely with product managers and designers, and the ability to move quickly with minimal specs when you have clear context on user and business goals.
- Passion for fitness and wellness, plus a startup mindset that values rapid iteration and real-world impact over heavy process.
- Enthusiasm for working on-site with the team in New York City.
Experience with generative AI or LLMs, GraphQL, serverless architectures, DevOps in AWS, or strong design skills are nice to have but not required.
