The role

We are looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis. This is a hybrid role based in the Netherlands. You will work within a small, high-performing team of three to four people, utilizing cutting-edge AI tools to solve complex engineering challenges. We are looking for someone with extensive experience who is ready to help us transition our monolithic systems into modern micro-frontend architectures while prioritizing outcome-focused agility over traditional process overhead.

Core responsibilities

• AI-Enhanced Development: Use agentic AI tools such as Cursor, Augment Code, or Claude Code to speed up coding and refactoring while exploring new ways to integrate AI into our development lifecycle.
• Architectural Transformation: Take the lead on decomposing our existing monolithic frontend into scalable, resilient micro-frontend architectures that allow for independent service deployment.
• Technical Leadership: Drive results through pair programming and pragmatic decision-making, ensuring we balance innovation with long-term stability while maintaining a focus on rapid, confident releases.

Skills and experience

• At least 5 years of professional software development experience, including a proven track record of technical leadership.
• Deep expertise in Vue3, Pinia, and Vite, along with a strong command of modern frontend tooling.
• Demonstrable experience in designing and deploying micro-frontend architectures.
• Proficiency in advanced prompting techniques for both coding tasks and improving our internal AI-driven workflows.
• An enthusiastic approach to using AI-augmented development tools to solve problems with simple, maintainable code.
• A results-oriented mindset with the communication skills necessary to thrive in a collaborative environment.
