About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Forward Deployed Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis. In this position, you will sit at the intersection of platform engineering and AI, applying your deep Kubernetes expertise to help our enterprise customers successfully deploy AI agents. You will act as a technical bridge, building custom operators and tailoring our platform to fit unique customer environments. This is a high-ownership role where you will manage the end-to-end deployment process, from initial proof-of-concepts to production-ready systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead forward-deployed engagements by scoping technical goals, designing deployment strategies, and guiding customers through the transition from proof-of-concept to production.
• Develop and deliver enhancements to our platform and deployment processes, ensuring these improvements are contributed back to the core Stacklok Enterprise product.
• Serve as the primary technical subject matter expert for enterprise adoption, providing hands-on support, debugging complex issues, and mentoring teammates on Kubernetes best practices.

Requirements

We value candidates who are self-directed and thrive in fast-paced environments. While we do not expect you to meet every single point, we are looking for the following qualifications:

• Strong software engineering fundamentals with a track record of writing clean, well-tested production code.
• Deep expertise in Kubernetes, including cluster architecture, networking, storage, RBAC, and resource management, alongside experience with Helm and GitOps tools like Flux or ArgoCD.
• Proficiency in writing controllers in Go using Kubebuilder or the Operator SDK, with a solid understanding of CRDs and control loops.
• Familiarity with observability tools such as Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, Datadog, or Grafana.
• An AI-first mindset, including experience with AI coding assistants and agentic workflows to accelerate delivery.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.

Location

This is a remote position based in Singapore. Applicants must currently reside in Singapore and possess the legal authorization to work within the country.
