Senior Data Scientist at Parade

At Parade we build capacity-management tools that help freight brokers and 3PLs move truckload freight more efficiently. Our platform is already recognized by Inc. Magazine, Business Insider, and FreightTech 100, and our vision is to become the Bloomberg Terminal for the $800 billion trucking industry. We are now looking for a Senior Data Scientist to join us on a full-time, remote basis and help shape the next generation of machine-learning products that automate freight matching and booking.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to develop models that solve real customer challenges, such as matching shipments with interested carriers.
• Advance our LLM-based system that automates email interactions with carriers, iterating on retrieval-augmented generation, fine-tuning, and prompt-engineering techniques.
• Establish best practices for data science at Parade and foster a data-driven, customer-focused culture across the company.

Requirements

• At least four years of hands-on experience writing queries and scripts in Python, SQL, or similar languages.
• Four or more years working as a data scientist, including algorithm and model development.
• Demonstrated ability to explain technical, data-driven concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Preferred qualifications include six or more years of data-science experience, an undergraduate or graduate degree in engineering, computer science, statistics, or a related field, and direct experience designing and deploying LLM-based systems.
• Experience partnering with engineering teams to productionize models and working with customers to translate business problems into data-science solutions is highly valued.
