About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join us on a full-time basis. In this role, you will help advance our robotics moonshot by scaling our data engineering efforts. You will be responsible for designing and developing the data infrastructure that powers our products and internal tools, working alongside a world-class cross-functional team to build the most advanced robotic systems in the industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain reliable, scalable data pipelines using Databricks.
- Integrate data from various sources, including Kafka streams, to support real-time analytics and ensure data is processed efficiently.
- Manage and optimize our data lake while establishing best practices for database design, indexing, and query performance.
Requirements
To be successful in this position, you should bring the following qualifications:
- 4 to 6 years of experience working within a tech company or a fast-growing startup.
- A degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Strong proficiency in writing production-ready code using Python and Java.
- Hands-on experience with AWS, Kafka, Spark, and Databricks.
- A fast-learning, ambitious mindset with an excellent work ethic and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
Location
This position is based on-site at our office in San Francisco, California.
