We are trusted by industry leaders like Box, Lattice, and Brex to power their employee and customer education, and we are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to help us push the boundaries of generative AI and SaaS innovation in a remote-first environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and enhance our core SaaS platform and generative AI features through active coding and peer reviews.
- Collaborate closely with our product and design teams to plan, build, and deploy high-impact features.
- Contribute to the evolution of our engineering standards, backend best practices, and team culture.
- Grow your technical and leadership capabilities within a fast-paced, high-performance setting.
Must-haves
- At least 5 years of professional experience building production-ready software.
- Deep expertise in Ruby on Rails and relational databases.
- Strong grasp of distributed systems and REST API design principles.
- A startup mindset with the ability to manage your time and prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment.
- Proven ability to work effectively across functional teams.
- Fluency in English.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience working with React and TypeScript on the frontend.
- Familiarity with PostgreSQL, Redis, Snowflake, and AWS infrastructure.
