The opportunity

We are searching for a Senior Backend Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis, with the flexibility of a B2B or employment contract. In this role, you will play a vital part in building and scaling the infrastructure that powers our retail AI solutions. You will work closely with our engineering teams to ensure our data remains accessible and performant, helping us push the boundaries of what is possible in web development and deep learning integration.

A day in the life

• You will design and build scalable backend infrastructure using Python, Flask, and FastAPI to support our complex, data-intensive applications.
• You will manage deployment processes, including blue/green or canary releases, to ensure our services remain stable and available for our global retail partners.
• You will develop specialized tools that provide transparency and easy access to the vast datasets we manage across various geographic locations and formats.

Who you are

You are a seasoned engineer with a startup mentality who thrives in collaborative environments. You possess a strong technical foundation and the communication skills necessary to work effectively across time zones. To be successful in this role, you should bring the following:

• A Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 6 years of professional software development experience, with at least 3 years specifically focused on Python.
• Deep expertise in REST APIs, microservices, and working with data-intensive applications.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and cloud-based deployments.
• Fluency in Polish and advanced proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
• Experience with Redux is considered a significant plus.
