Senior Backend Engineer at Equal Experts

We are currently looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join our network and help our clients improve their software delivery capabilities through collaborative, high-quality engineering.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with clients to define system requirements and determine the most effective delivery strategies.
• Develop software using agile methodologies, including pair programming, test-driven development, and CI/CD.
• Manage the automation of system infrastructure and deployment pipelines.
• Take ownership of your code by providing production support for the systems you build.
• Act as an advocate for agile practices within client organizations.
• Mentor client team members and contribute to the overall improvement of their delivery processes.

Must-haves

• Extensive experience in developing, maintaining, and operating enterprise-scale distributed systems.
• Expert-level proficiency in your primary programming language and its ecosystem.
• Proven hands-on experience with test-driven development and automated testing frameworks.
• A deep understanding of agile principles and the ability to apply them effectively in diverse environments.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on collaboration and knowledge sharing within distributed teams.
• Fluency in English.

Nice-to-haves

• Practical experience building microservice architectures and RESTful services.
• Background in running large-scale production systems within cloud environments like AWS, GCP, or Azure.
