What you bring
We are hiring a Senior Research Scientist to join our foundation models team on a Full Time basis. In this role you will contribute directly to projects that advance generative AI across video, image, text, audio, and 3D modalities. You will work with technologies such as PyTorch and Jax, and you will help scale large distributed systems that power reinforcement learning and data pipelines. Three main responsibilities include training and scaling multimodal models, developing efficient training or inference methods on distributed infrastructure, and curating high-quality datasets for pre-training and fine-tuning. The position is located in the United States and is primarily on-site, with remote flexibility for exceptional candidates.
Requirements
We are looking for candidates who combine deep technical expertise with strong research instincts. You should bring proven experience in generative AI, including work with large language models, diffusion models, or related areas, and you must have led at least one substantial research project in this domain. Proficiency in PyTorch or Jax is essential, along with familiarity in reinforcement learning techniques and large-scale data systems. Excellent collaboration and communication skills are important, as is the ability to translate research ideas into production-ready systems. A background in AI, machine learning, or a closely related field, supported by relevant publications or open-source contributions, will help you thrive. We value curiosity, rigorous thinking, and a genuine passion for building systems that expand human capabilities.
