We are currently looking for a Senior Project Engineer to join our team in Portugal on a full-time, on-site basis. Our organization focuses on advancing complex electronic systems, and we are looking for a dedicated professional to help us push the boundaries of our current engineering capabilities. You will play a central role in our development cycle, from initial research to the final stages of technical documentation.
Key outcomes
- Conduct thorough research into state-of-the-art technologies to keep our projects at the forefront of the industry.
- Design and develop both digital and analogue electronic circuits.
- Perform detailed SPICE modelling and simulation to validate designs.
- Create embedded software solutions for various microcontroller systems.
- Manage the prototyping phase and conduct rigorous testing of all electronic systems.
- Maintain comprehensive technical documentation throughout every phase of the development lifecycle.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should possess a strong background in engineering and a deep understanding of electronic design. We expect you to demonstrate proficiency in the following areas:
- Solid experience in the design of digital and analogue electronic circuits.
- Proven ability to perform SPICE simulations.
- Practical experience with PCB layout design.
- Foundational knowledge of RF design principles.
Preferred qualifications
While the requirements above are essential, we highly value candidates who bring additional expertise to our team. The following skills are considered an added value for this position:
- Expertise in characterizing, specifying, and designing RF topologies and systems.
- Experience in analyzing and simulating complex RF and analogue circuits.
- Proficiency in operating specialized RF test equipment.
- Hands-on experience with Altium Designer for PCB layout.
- Strong capability in developing embedded software for microcontrollers using the C programming language.
- Familiarity with designing for aeronautic or ECSS standards, specifically DO-254.
- Professional proficiency in English, Portuguese, or other languages.
