Second Front Systems is a rapidly growing company operating at the intersection of national security and innovative technology. We are looking for a senior Product Marketing Manager to join our team and help shape the narrative for our mission-critical software solutions. As a public benefit corporation founded by former U.S. Marines, we focus on accelerating government access to commercially proven technologies, and this role is essential for bridging the gap between our technical offerings and the real-world needs of our national security partners. Please note that U.S. citizenship is required for this position due to the nature of our government contracts.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive product marketing strategy, including the creation of sales collateral, whitepapers, webinars, and training materials for both commercial and government audiences.
- Translate our complex product capabilities into clear, concise messaging that resonates with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Lead the end-to-end launch process for new products and updates, including the creation and management of go-to-market playbooks.
- Collaborate closely with our Product, Engineering, and Growth teams to align on market demands, strategic goals, and international expansion efforts.
- Act as the primary bridge between our marketing and product departments to ensure consistent communication and project alignment.
- Contribute to the development of product roadmaps by providing market insights and competitive analysis.
- Partner with our Customer Success team to gather user feedback and turn those insights into actionable improvements for our product strategy.
- Monitor content performance metrics to refine our strategy and maximize the impact of our marketing efforts.
Must-haves
- At least 7 years of professional experience in product marketing.
- A strong technical background, ideally with a solid understanding of DevSecOps principles.
- Previous experience managing product lines before moving into a marketing-focused role.
- Proven leadership abilities with a track record of developing and mentoring teams.
- Exceptional communication and writing skills, with the ability to adapt content for diverse audiences.
- Experience working in cross-functional environments to execute product roadmaps.
- A proactive, self-starting mindset and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-oriented workplace.
- A passion for creative storytelling and simplifying complex concepts.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience working within the federal or public sector, particularly in defense or government software environments.
- Knowledge of product-led growth strategies.
Benefits
- Remote work flexibility with the ability to work from anywhere.
- 100% coverage for healthcare, vision, and dental insurance.
- 401(k) plan with a 3% company contribution.
- Equity incentive plan.
- Comprehensive wellness programs, including mental health resources and fitness classes.
- Flexible paid time off and paid federal holidays.
- Parental leave.
- Stipends for professional development and home office or tech supplies.
- Referral bonus program.
