Product Engineer, Modeling at nTop

The role

We are seeking a Product Engineer to focus on our modeling capabilities. This is a full-time, mid-level position that can be performed remotely from anywhere within our approved hiring regions. You will work closely with our product managers, designers, and software engineers to bring innovative solutions to life and execute on our product roadmap.

Core responsibilities

• Analyze customer workflows to identify and develop application-focused solutions that address real-world engineering challenges.
• Create nTop blocks and technical demonstrations to validate new ideas and support our technical field teams.
• Document detailed product specifications and build enablement materials to help our go-to-market teams succeed.

Skills and experience

To be successful in this role, you should possess a strong background in engineering design and a passion for technology. We require the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a relevant scientific field.
• Three to five years of professional experience in technical pre-sales, engineering, customer support, or product management within the CAD or CAE industries.
• Demonstrable expertise in implicit geometry, generative design, and modeling using functional programming languages like Grasshopper.
• Fluency in various engineering software tools, including CAD, CAE, and CAM.
• Excellent communication skills and a proven ability to manage projects in a collaborative, cross-functional environment.
• A creative mindset with a strong interest in 3D modeling, simulation, and advanced manufacturing.
• Experience as a design engineer in industries such as aerospace or automotive is considered a plus.

Compensation and benefits

We offer a competitive annual salary range of $105,000 to $120,000, which is determined based on your unique experience and background. As part of our commitment to a flexible workplace, this role includes the benefit of remote work.
