We are Supermove, a 40-person team of alumni from Pinterest, Asana, Meta, and Google that has raised an $18M Series A led by a16z. Our platform brings modern software to the moving industry, an industry previously untouched by technology, and we are growing rapidly with more than 2x revenue growth in the past year.
Responsibilities
- Conduct user research through interviews and usability testing, primarily over Zoom with occasional onsite visits, to deeply understand customer needs.
- Transform loosely defined user stories into clear, actionable solutions and develop detailed user flows that deliver seamless experiences.
- Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs that are intuitive and visually appealing, then participate in post-development testing with engineers and customers.
- Collaborate closely with engineering, product, customer success, and go-to-market teams to tackle design challenges and brainstorm product ideas.
- Continuously refine designs based on feedback and data from users and stakeholders through frequent design critiques with the EPD team.
- Use both quantitative data and qualitative insights to guide design decisions and maintain a balanced, user-centric approach.
- Present design concepts to stakeholders and incorporate their input during cross-functional and company-wide meetings.
- Ensure all designs meet accessibility standards and remain inclusive for every user.
Must-haves
- 2-5 years of product design experience, ideally in a startup or fast-paced environment.
- Strong user advocacy skills with the ability to empathize with users transitioning from pen-and-paper or outdated systems through direct research and interaction.
- High level of ownership and comfort taking initiative to drive projects from start to finish, even without complete information.
- Proven ability to simplify complex problems into intuitive user interfaces.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to clearly articulate design processes and decisions.
- Adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
- Proficiency in Figma or similar design tools such as Sketch or Adobe XD.
- Fluency in English.
